School trips and outings

Outings

School outings are an important part of a student’s educational journey, and enhance the work done in class.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to help with the organization or funding of school outings, please email us.

School trips

Every year, CFBL students have the opportunity to discover new places and find out more about other cultures. This is essential to their development as well-rounded human beings, and contributes to making them more open-minded. We would encourage all students to participate in school trips, and we invite you to contact us if you would like help financing your child’s trip.

Here is a partial list of trips that are organized throughout the school year:

  • Year 6 (CM2): trip to Normandy

  • Year 7 (6ème): orientation trip to the Isle of Wight

  • Year 8 (5ème): sailing trip

  • Year 9 (4ème): exchange with Valencia or Alicante

  • Year 10 (3ème): end of year trip to south of France

Orientation trip for Year 7 students

Each year at the end of September, 6ème students go on a trip to the Isle of Wight to get to know each other better. It’s an ideal way to favour integration for new students. Over the course of 2 days, children take part in activities to enhance group cohesion and team spirit: obstacle courses, construction games, logic puzzles, zip line, archery, climbing, games on the beach and of course campfires. This trip takes place every year at the end of September.

Sailing Trip for Year 8 students

At the end of the school year, 5ème students take part in a trip to the Isle of Wight, focusing on nautical activities such as sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. They develop teamwork skills and put into practice the knowledge acquired throughout the year during physical education classes.

Trip to Spain for Year 9 students

In March of each year, 4ème students (Spanish speakers or not) can participate in an exchange program with students from French School in Valencia or Alicante. During this week, they stay with the families of their correspondents. In turn, they host their counterparts in London in June.

It's an enriching cultural experience and an opportunity to form new friendships.

End-of-Year Trip for Year 10 students

After the Brevet exams, 3ème students go on an end-of-year trip to the south of France. The program includes surfing and other outdoor activities.

It's a great way to conclude their schooling at CFBL and congratulate them on their accomplishments.
