Learning

CFBL’s vocation is to transmit to students the best of French school culture and to prepare them for life in today’s world by giving them a bilingual, multicultural education.

Learning in a bilingual environment helps pupils develop non-academic skills and prepares them to grow into citizens who will be open to the world. Being accustomed from an early age to work with two teachers and change from one language to another, pupils develop a strong capacity to adapt, which is a particularly precious skill when they move up to the secondary section or go to another school.

CFBL’s multicultural environment enhances this adaptability. We have students of some 35 different nationalities with a large proportion from dual national backgrounds. This helps students understand and accept each other and their differences. CFBL has partnerships to organise school trips abroad (Germany, Spain and Uruguay), which all contribute to promoting open-mindedness, and we also host visits from students in overseas French schools.
