Mathematical tales

As part of a project in maths class, our pupils have welcomed Marie Lhuissier, a mathematical tales.

Marie Lhuissier writes stories to transmit her vision of mathematics and approach them from a cultural perspective. The mathematical tales are short stories for children from 6 to 11 years old.

The objective of these stories :

  • to offer a moment of pleasure associated with mathematics

  • to allow the discovery of a new and fascinating mathematical object

  • to offer contact with mathematical emotion

For now, four stories have been written. Our pupils have discovered and worked about the story “la Faiseuse de Neige”.

After the reading, the pupils created snowflakes.
