This year, CFBL Libraries have organised "Les nuits de la lecture" events at Collège Français Bilingue de Londres.
From Thursday 20th to Wednesday 26th of January 2022, CFBL students will have the opportunity to participate in numerous activities linked to reading.

"These Nuits de le lecture are more than ever necessary to reach out to new readers, and reaffirm to everyone the essential place that books and reading hold in our lives.
During the month of January 2022, the public will be invited to gather at thousands of physical and digital events, around the theme of love, which espouses Victor Hugo's injunction: "Love always! Love again!".
Libraries, media centres, bookshops, but also museums, theatres, schools and universities, penitentiary and medical-social structures, the network of French cultural insitutions and Francophone bookshops abroad, will be invited to honour, over the course of four evenings, the pleasure of reading and sharing love of books and books about love!
Created in 2017 by the culture secretary to celebrate the love of reading, the Nuits de la lecture have conquered, over the years, more and more people. Despite the health crisis, they organised, in 2021, over 2000 events in France and in over thirty countries.
CFBL Schedule
PRIMARY AND SECONDARY
Following the success of the "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" video recording, and on the occasion of the Nuits de la lecture, CFBL offers students to record the second volume "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (in the CDI storeroom from the 20th to the 26th of January).
-World stories Thursday 20th January : reading stories in foreign languages
SECONDARY
- Book dating Monday 24th and Wednesday 26th of January
FOR CE2 AND CM2
Nick Carter, the explorer and adventurer, will be coming to CFBL on Thursday the 20th of January to talk about his amazing adventures. Children will be able to leave with a signed copy of Nick's new book (children will have to come with £10 if they want to get the book), which tells the stories behind his biggest adventures... to date!
