Tower of London

On Tuesday 6th February, as part of an interdisciplinary French-History project on the Middle Ages, the three 5ème classes went to the Tower of London.

On the theme “The Norman Tower: 1066 and all that!”, the students first took part in a workshop on the Norman conquest of England and the construction of what is today the oldest intact building in London and one of the best preserved medieval monuments in Europe: the famous White Tower!

Equipped with a map and an educational booklet, the students then explored the other parts of the site, discovering the crown jewels, a world-famous, unique collection of sacred and ceremonial objects, and the many anecdotes that recount the Tower of London's history.
