🍎 A Day of Discovery: Apple Tasting Event Brings Creativity and Learning to Our Canteen

Today’s lunchtime experience was anything but ordinary, as our school canteen transformed into a celebration of one of nature’s simplest and most versatile foods: the apple. Thanks to the creativity and educational flair of our caterer, Holroyd Howe, students were treated to an “Apple Tasting” event that blended nutrition, flavour exploration, and fun.

From the moment students entered the dining area, it was clear that apples were the star of the show. The menu featured an impressive range of apple-themed dishes, including:

  • Fresh apple salad

  • Warm apple & fennel soup

  • Creamy applesauce

  • Delicious apple cake

  • And of course… crisp, juicy apples in their purest form

Each dish showcased the fruit in a different way, proving just how adaptable and exciting a single ingredient can be.

Adding to the experience, Holroyd Howe included an informative and eye-catching poster highlighting the nutritional benefits of apples. Students learned that apples are a great source of Vitamin C, support immune health, and can even help the skin heal — a wonderful reminder that healthy food is both tasty and important.
