Exploring nature at Phasels Wood

Our Year 5 pupils enjoyed a memorable school trip focused on discovering nature, designed to spark their curiosity, stimulate their imagination and strengthen their connection with the natural world.

This two-day trip took place from 6 to 8 October at Phasels Wood, a superb outdoor centre nestled in the heart of Hertfordshire, about an hour from London. The children travelled comfortably by coach, eager to take part in a range of fun and educational activities.

During their stay, the pupils were immersed in nature, staying in charming wooden pods and taking part in practical workshops that encouraged cooperation, exploration and environmental awareness. The activities were carefully chosen to reflect the topics covered in class, such as trees, plants, insects and animals, thus bringing a practical dimension to their school learning.

This adventure enabled the children to develop their independence and team spirit, and fostered a genuine respect for nature.

We are extremely proud of their commitment, curiosity and enthusiasm throughout this wonderful experience in the heart of the forest!
