Learning About Passover in Year 3

This term, Year 3 pupils enjoyed a special classroom visit as one of our parents came in to introduce them to Passover, one of the most important celebrations in the Jewish calendar.

During the session, pupils learned about the story of Passover and explored some of the traditions and rituals observed by Jewish families at this time of year. The visit brought learning to life in a memorable and meaningful way, giving pupils the opportunity to deepen their understanding of a different faith and culture.

A particular highlight for the children was tasting matzah and grape juice, which helped them connect more closely with the customs they had been discussing.

We are very grateful to our parent community for sharing their time, knowledge, and experiences with our pupils. These moments enrich school life and help foster curiosity, respect, and openness to the world around us.

If you would like to take part in a future classroom visit, please contact your child’s teacher.
