On Monday 11 May, the pupils had the wonderful opportunity to meet Mr Lucas Digne for an inspiring talk on the core values of football.
Drawing from his experience as a professional player, he reminded the children that individual talent is not enough: success is, above all, the result of teamwork and solidarity. He emphasised the importance of respect—whether in victory or defeat—noting that a true champion always congratulates their opponent.
Mr Digne also highlighted that football is a universal sport. He spoke about the French Women’s National Team and inclusive football, specifically "Cécifoot" (blind football) and "powerchair football".
It was a powerful message to remind everyone that a passion for the game transcends differences and that every player, regardless of their background, has a place on the pitch.
