This year, our Year 9 pupils have enthusiastically taken part in the prestigious Carnegie Shadowing competition, a project celebrating outstanding books in English-language young adult literature.
Under the thoughtful guidance of their English teachers, Miss Zai and Miss Silva, the pupils explored a wonderful selection of shortlisted books. Over the past weeks, they have read, discussed and reflected on the texts, before writing insightful, sensitive, and well-crafted literary reviews.
This has been a fantastic opportunity for them to develop critical thinking, broaden their vocabulary, and most importantly, nurture a genuine love of reading in English.
You can read their reviews and discover their thoughts online here:

Well done to all our budding readers and reviewers for their excellent work and thoughtful engagement!
