Raising awareness about bullying in Year 10: building understanding through a “harcélomètre”

As part of the school’s anti-bullying awareness day, pupils in Year 10 took part in an engaging and interactive session with Mrs Uguen and Mrs Saudo, focused on creating a “harcélomètre”.

This educational tool helps pupils better understand and identify different types of peer interactions by placing them on a scale ranging from respectful behaviour to bullying. Through this activity, pupils were encouraged to reflect collectively on key concepts such as respect, personal boundaries and consent.

Working in small groups, they discussed real-life examples, debated everyday situations and actively contributed to building their own “harcélomètre”. This collaborative work helped them recognise the progression of behaviours and better identify warning signs.

Beyond reflection, the session also emphasised the importance of speaking up: knowing how to say no, asking for help and supporting others are essential elements in preventing bullying.

A meaningful and impactful activity, fully in line with the school’s commitment to promoting a safe, respectful and supportive environment for all.
