Our CE1 students embarked on a memorable nature-based residential trip designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a deeper connection with the natural world.
The two-day adventure took place from May 12th to May 13th at Phasels Wood, a beautiful outdoor centre nestled in the heart of Hertfordshire—just about an hour from London. Students traveled comfortably by coach bus to this woodland haven, where a wide range of engaging and educational experiences awaited them.
During their stay, children immersed themselves in the great outdoors, sleeping in cosy woodland pods and taking part in hands-on activities that encouraged teamwork, exploration, and environmental awareness. The trip was carefully planned to complement our curriculum topics, including trees and plants, minibeasts, and animals, bringing classroom learning to life in exciting new ways.
This experience not only fostered a sense of independence and collaboration among students, but also sparked a lasting appreciation for the natural environment.
We’re so proud of all the students for their enthusiasm and teamwork during this unforgettable journey into the woods!
