CFBL is delighted to welcome Julie Louvrier as Chair of the Board of Trustees, a role she took up on 1 September 2026.
Julie’s appointment builds on a long-standing commitment to CFBL. A member of the Board since 2019 and a parent at the school for more than a decade, she has developed an extensive understanding of CFBL, its community and the opportunities and challenges facing the school.
During her seven years as a Trustee, Julie has contributed to an exceptionally broad range of committees and areas of governance. Her responsibilities have included safeguarding, SEND and inclusion, diversity and inclusion, relations with the APE and parent engagement, student recruitment and retention, human resources, marketing and communications, and data and systems. She has also chaired the Student Recruitment, Retention and Parental Engagement Committee.
This breadth of experience has given Julie a detailed understanding of the school’s academic, pastoral, operational and strategic priorities. Throughout her service, she has demonstrated a deep devotion to CFBL, combined with the vision and energy needed to help the school continue to develop.
Julie brings significant professional experience to the role. She has worked in fintech for 25 years, including over a decade as an entrepreneur, and has considerable expertise in value creation, project delivery, people management, communications and crisis management.
Her connection to CFBL is also deeply personal. Julie is French and British and is the mother of three children who have been educated at CFBL from their early years. She has seen first-hand the value of a bilingual and bicultural education founded on academic excellence, openness and care for every student.
As Chair, Julie will help guide CFBL’s long-term strategy while supporting its continued focus on academic excellence, safeguarding and wellbeing, innovation, staff engagement and a strong dialogue with families.
